Training

Becoming a café and smoothies franchise owner can be challenging, but when provided with the right knowledge and skills, there's no limit to the things that can be accomplished. Before you open a café franchise you’ll learn our tried and true system. Tropical Smoothie Café provides three phases of training prior to opening each café and smoothie bar franchise:

Phase One

Franchisees meet with a member of our leadership team and are taken to a Tropical Smoothie Café in the area to be fully immersed in the day-to-day operations of a café franchise. You’ll learn the heart and soul of the hospitality that Tropical Smoothie Café provides to customers, as well as how to make our great tasting, healthy food and smoothies.

Phase Two

After Phase One, you’re off to sunny Destin, FL and our Corporate Headquarters for a full week of classroom training where you’ll be educated on all aspects of our business.

Phase One + Phase Two = Phase Three

The final phase of café franchise training brings you back to another week at a local café. You’ll be able to put all of your newly acquired knowledge to the test and apply it to a real world environment while preparing to launch your own café franchise.

Technology

The words IT and tropical don't always blend well. However, at Tropical Smoothie Café, we've got them going together like strawberries and pineapple in one of our Bahama Mama smoothies. In addition to the great Intranet for the franchisees to use as a form of two-way communication with their peers and with the corporate staff, we also have a great online ordering system that's quick and easy so that you can spend less time in the back office and more time in the tropics. Franchisees also have the ability to create and print out customized café and smoothie bar franchise marketing and advertising materials.

Marketing

Marketing today is complex and has gone beyond the word-of-mouth campaigns we first employed. We now utilize all the tools at our disposal – grass roots campaigns, TV commercials, radio spots, printed pieces, coupons, in-store and point of purchase displays, viral and social marketing and our website (which is like a miniature vacation in itself). Combining these efforts allows us to cut through the clutter, reach our target audience and get them licking their lips in anticipation for their next Tropical Smoothie Café Experience.
